Dashboard controls are key, when it comes to creating a smart user interface. They should be simple, easy to use and understandable and should allow users to go through the different data, without having to scroll through larger worksheets and navigate through complex workbooks.
The following controls are going to be used:
-
Pivot Table Slicers
-
Table Slicers
-
Dropdown Menu
-
Combo Box
-
List Box
-
Scroll Bar
-
Spin Button
-
Option Button
-
Check Box

All with dynamic conditional formatting. It is important to understand that these controls can be used without any coding, and that they are a standard Microsoft Excel feature. Although they may first seem intimidating to use, you will learn, that these controls are rather easy to understand, set up and use.
